Notification Problems

Not getting notifications? Here's how to troubleshoot.


Email Notifications

Check 1: Look in Spam

Emails from hello@stacklead.io might be filtered.

  1. Open your spam/junk folder
  2. Search for "stacklead"
  3. If found, mark as "Not Spam"

Check 2: Add to Contacts

Prevent future emails from going to spam:

  1. Add hello@stacklead.io to your contacts
  2. Add noreply@stacklead.io to your contacts

Check 3: Verify Settings

Go to SettingsNotifications

Make sure email notifications are turned on for:

  • Hot lead alerts
  • Daily digest
  • Weekly report

Check 4: Verify Your Email

Your account email must be verified.

Go to SettingsAccount

If you see "Email not verified," click the verification link we sent, or click "Resend."

Check 5: Check Frequency Setting

If you're set to "Weekly" digest, you won't get daily emails.

Verify your digest frequency matches what you expect.


Digest Emails Not Arriving

No Leads = No Digest

We don't send empty digest emails.

If you have no new leads since the last digest, you won't receive one.

Check: Do you have new leads in the app?

Check Timezone

Digests send based on your timezone setting.

Go to SettingsAccountTimezone

Make sure it's set correctly. If you're in PST but it's set to EST, your 8am digest arrives at 5am.

Check Digest Time

Go to SettingsNotificationsDigest Time

Verify the time is what you expect.


In-App Notifications

Check 1: Look for the Bell

Click the bell icon in the top right corner.

Notifications appear there. Unread notifications show a red badge.

Check 2: Verify In-App Settings

Go to SettingsNotifications

Make sure in-app notifications are enabled.

Check 3: Hard Refresh

Sometimes notifications need a page refresh to appear.

Press Ctrl+Shift+R (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+R (Mac) to hard refresh.

Check 4: Check Browser Permissions

Some browsers block notifications. Check your browser settings:

Chrome:

  1. Click the lock icon in the address bar
  2. Find "Notifications"
  3. Set to "Allow"

Firefox:

  1. Click the lock icon
  2. Click "Connection secure"
  3. Check notification permissions

Hot Lead Alerts Not Working

Check 1: Alert Threshold

Hot lead alerts only trigger for leads above a certain score.

Go to SettingsNotificationsAlert Threshold

Default is 7+. If set to 9+, you'll only get alerts for 9-10 leads (rare).

Check 2: Real-Time is Enabled

Go to SettingsNotifications

Make sure "Real-time alerts" is toggled on.

Check 3: Do You Have Hot Leads?

Check the "Hot" tab in your lead list.

If there are no 7+ leads, there's nothing to alert about.


Testing Notifications

Test Email Delivery

Go to SettingsNotificationsSend Test Email

This sends a test email to verify delivery works.

If the test arrives, email delivery is working. The issue is elsewhere.

If the test doesn't arrive, check spam/contacts.


Common Issues by Email Provider

Gmail

  • Check "Promotions" and "Updates" tabs
  • Add stacklead.io to your primary contacts

Outlook/Hotmail

  • Check "Other" inbox
  • Check "Junk Email" folder
  • Add to safe senders list

Yahoo

  • Check spam folder
  • Add to contacts

Corporate Email

Your company's email security might block external emails.

Contact your IT department to whitelist:

  • hello@stacklead.io
  • noreply@stacklead.io

Still Having Issues?

Contact support@stacklead.io with:

  • Your account email
  • Which notifications aren't working (email, in-app, digest)
  • When you last received a notification
  • Screenshots of your notification settings
