What Happens When You Upgrade
- Immediate access — New limits apply right away
- Prorated charge — You only pay the difference for the rest of your billing cycle
- No lost data — All your projects, leads, and settings stay the same
Example
You're on Starter ($29) with 15 days left in your cycle. You upgrade to Pro ($79).
You'll be charged ~$25 now (prorated difference). Next month, you'll be charged $79 as normal.
How to Downgrade
- Go to Settings → Billing
- Click "Change Plan"
- Select a lower plan
- Confirm
What Happens When You Downgrade
- Keeps current plan until renewal — You keep your current features until your next billing date
- Lower limits apply at renewal — New limits kick in when the next cycle starts
- May need to remove items — If you're over the new plan's limits
Over the Limit?
If you downgrade and you're over the new plan's limits, you'll need to remove items before the downgrade processes.
Example:
- You have 12 keywords on Pro
- You downgrade to Starter (5 keyword limit)
- You'll need to remove 7 keywords before renewal
StackLead will remind you what needs to be removed.
Timing Considerations
Best Time to Upgrade
Anytime! Upgrades are prorated, so you won't overpay.
Best Time to Downgrade
