No Leads Showing Up
If your lead list is empty, here's how to fix it.
Quick Checklist
Run through these checks first:
- [ ] At least one platform is enabled
- [ ] Keywords are configured
- [ ] Subreddits are selected (for Reddit)
- [ ] Account is active (not paused or expired)
Check 1: Are Your Platforms Enabled?
Go to Settings → Platforms
Make sure at least one platform is toggled on.

If all platforms are off, no leads will be found.
Check 2: Are Your Keywords Configured?
Go to Projects → Your Project → Keywords
You need at least one keyword for StackLead to search.
If the keyword list is empty:
- Click "Add Keyword"
- Enter phrases your customers might use
- Or click "Generate Keywords" for AI suggestions
Check 3: Are Your Keywords Too Specific?
Super specific keywords might have zero matches.
Too Specific
❌ "best CRM for D2C Shopify stores with Klaviyo integration under $50"
This exact phrase might never appear anywhere.
Better
✅ "CRM for e-commerce" ✅ "Shopify CRM" ✅ "best CRM for small business"
Try broader variations and see if leads appear.
Check 4: Are Your Subreddits Active?
Some niche subreddits only get a few posts per week.
How to Check
- Visit the subreddit on Reddit
- Look at the posting frequency
- If the last post was 5 days ago, it's too quiet
Solution
Add more active subreddits. Try larger communities related to your niche.
Popular active subreddits:
- r/Entrepreneur (800k+ members)
- r/startups (1M+ members)
- r/SaaS (100k+ members)
- r/smallbusiness (500k+ members)
Check 5: Give It Time
StackLead scans platforms continuously, but it can take up to 24 hours for leads to appear after setup.
This is especially true if:
- Your keywords aren't super common
- Your subreddits are niche
- You just created the project
Wait 24 hours before troubleshooting further.
Check 6: Is Your Account Active?
Go to Settings → Billing
Make sure:
- Your subscription is active (not cancelled or paused)
- Your payment method is valid
- There are no failed payments
If your account is paused, reactivate it to resume lead scanning.
Check 7: Try a Test Keyword
Add a very common keyword temporarily to verify the system works.
Test keywords:
- "looking for recommendations"
- "what tool do you use"
- "best software for"
If leads appear with test keywords, your original keywords are too specific.
Advanced Troubleshooting
Check Platform-Specific Settings
Each platform has additional settings that might filter out leads.
Reddit:
- Maximum age (too short = fewer leads)
- Minimum comments (too high = fewer leads)
Twitter:
- Language filter (might exclude relevant posts)
- Retweet filter
Check for Keyword Conflicts
Make sure keywords aren't contradicting each other or your filters.
Browser Issues
Try:
- Hard refresh (Ctrl+Shift+R)
- Clear browser cache
- Try a different browser
- Disable browser extensions
